Your application should include your CV, cover letter, and (pre)university transcript. If you have any questions about Clearwater or the vacancy, please contact Sander de Goeijen or Aileen Breedijk.
Clearwater is a leading corporate finance adviser across many sectors with 425+ M&A professionals working in 20 offices in 12 countries in Europe. The Dutch office was founded in 2001, and currently comprises c. 20 professionals, including four partners. The team is expanding rapidly and is therefore looking for new talent.
As an intern at Clearwater, you will be working in both the origination and execution of mid-market M&A transactions, primarily on the sell-side and potentially also on the buy-side. This means that you will be contributing to project materials such as information memoranda, teasers, data room materials, as well as to origination efforts including pitch presentations, market studies, and target searches. From day one, you will interact with private business owners, corporate executives, and private equity investors. We aim to allocate each intern to a dedicated project team, ensuring that they gain live deal experience as well as continuity throughout the internship.
What you bring
We are looking for students or graduates with a strong academic record, demonstrable affinity with M&A, and exceptional analytic skills. It is not required that you are registered as a student for the duration of the internship.
As an intern at Clearwater, you will quickly be provided with exciting learning opportunities, so a proven ability to be responsible, reliable, and a quick learner is essential. Our work consists largely of team efforts, so we are looking for a strong team spirit and great interpersonal skills. Since we primarily advise Dutch companies and shareholders - often in cross-border situations involving international buyers or Clearwater colleagues - we require written and verbal fluency in both Dutch and English for this role.
