Jérémy Zeller

I joined Clearwater's Marseille office as Associate Director in September 2019. Prior to this, I worked for six years in M&A in London in various small and mid-cap M&A boutiques on numerous transactions, notably related to the aerospace defense sector. I have advised funds as well as private and listed industrial players in the UK, Asia and North America on divestments, LBOs and acquisitions. I started my career in the M&A department of SPIE where I worked on external growth in the UK. I have worked on divestitures, external growth, and financing transactions in a variety of sectors such as healthcare, food processing, industrials, transport andlogistics, and software. I was intrigued by the opportunity to develop the M&A advisory business for SMEs and SMIs in the region, led by the partners of the Marseille office. Their vision of the business, their state of mind and the dynamics of the team attracted me to the role. I have a Master's degree in Management from Toulouse Business School and an MSc in Financial Engineering from Cranfield University.

As a founding Partner of Clearwater France, I lead the international real estate team and the healthcare sector in France. I started my career at Vivendi (formerly Generale des Eaux) before setting up an advisory company (Auxiliaire de Finance) where I advised anglo-saxon funds in acquisitions of non-performing loan portfolios. I went on to join Close Brothers and developed the company as a MD and CEO. In 10 years, Close Brothers became a major player in the mid-market M&A segment with strong exposure in leisure, healthcare and real estate.

I joined Clearwater in August 2022 as an Analyst based in the Copenhagen office. Being an Analyst at Clearwater gives me the ideal balance between the theoretical and practical aspects of finance. As an Analyst, I get to develop my capabilities within M&A, and I am honoured to be learning and working alongside some of the best-in-class M&A experts. Prior to joining the business, I worked as an Assistant Associate in the Consulting division at PwC. I am currently studying economics at the University of Copenhagen and am engaged in many social activities there. This was one of the reasons why I decided to join the Clearwater team as I get to further develop not only professionally but also personally.
