Clearwater is a major force in the UK private equity arena, having completed more than 100 buy-outs or buy-ins since the beginning of 1999, including its own. Buy-outs and buy-ins are technically complicated, time-consuming and often risky for management teams. We help to protect management from that risk and introduce them to the relevant financial institutions to achieve the best possible equity deal.

We have regular personal contact with the leading venture capitalists and providers of debt finance. We help the management team to produce a business plan which sells the investment opportunity, and guide them through the minefield of issues which they will inevitably face.

Our MBI register works proactively with a small number of high-calibre managers to identify acquisition targets, negotiate deals and raise the necessary equity and debt funding.
