Paul has now been involved in corporate finance transactions for over 12 years, initially with a “Big 4” accountancy firm before five years with BDO Stoy Hayward. He was made a partner in 1999 at the age of 31 and was part of the team which led the MBO of Clearwater in 2003.
Paul’s experience has been on both sides of the corporate finance fence, leading MBOs and MBIs as well as conducting disposal projects for a broad range of venture capitalists, public companies and owner-managers.
The creativity and drive Paul brings to a transaction was recognised in 2003 when he was voted “Financial Adviser of The Year” in the UK Private Equity Awards, supported by the British Venture Capital Association, and most recently being highly ranked as one of the Midland’s top corporate finance advisers at the 2007 Midlands Dealmaker Awards.
