Paul qualified as a chartered accountant with BDO Binder Hamlyn in Manchester in 1993 and moved immediately into corporate finance, joining Lathams Corporate Transactions in 1995. Paul is one of four partners based in the Manchester office.

With over 15 years in lead advisory, Paul has led a wide variety of transactions including company sales, IBOs, MBOs and group restructurings. Paul was recently credited with heralding a completely new deal structure – the trade buy -out or TBO for LH Safety backed by quoted French company Delta Plus Group.

Other recent deals include the €100m sale of high street healthcare business Ultravox and the £22m acquisition of Pall Mall Holdings.
