Mike is joint MD of Clearwater and won Dealmaker of the Year 2005 at the North West Business Insider Awards.

Mike qualified as a chartered accountant with Touche Ross in Manchester, specialising in corporate restructuring and corporate finance.

He moved to Australia in 1990 where he worked for Coopers and Lybrand, again advising on major corporate restructuring arrangements before returning to the UK in 1996 to join Latham Corporate Transactions.

Mike has led numerous transactions including company disposals and acquisitions, MBOs and MBIs, and development capital and cash-out assignments. These are across a range of sectors including retail, automotive, manufacturing, media, IT and financial services.

Hobbies and interests

Mike likes to keep active all the time so usually has many hobbies on the go at once, but he particularly enjoys skiing and walking with his family.
