Clearwater advises on sale of specialist SAP recruitment consultancy

Clearwater Corporate Finance has advised leading IT SAP consultancy Williams McKinley on its sale to award-winning IT and telecoms staffing business, E-Resourcing Limited.

Williams McKinley specialises in placing senior level SAP experts in permanent and contract roles focused on SAP Enterprise Resource Planning projects. The company was founded by SAP expert Toby Kerr in 2004 and now services a wide range of blue chip clients. The firm has been acquired for an undisclosed figure and the consultancy team will continue to operate under the Williams McKinley brand.

Clearwater’s support services team advised Williams McKinley on the deal which comprised partner Marcus Archer, Richard Shaw and James Dykes.

Epsom-based E-Resourcing was advised by Ryecroft Glenton Corporate Finance’s director, Carl Swansbury. His team researched over 40 companies before deciding that Williams McKinley would be the most strategically suitable acquisition.

Mark Elliott at Williams McKinley said: “Clearwater has worked with Williams McKinley for the past two years. During that time they made preparations for sale and developed a detailed understanding of the business. This enabled them to identify a focused shortlist of potential buyers and advise on which of these buyers would provide us with the best partner.

“Clearwater's commitment and diligence ensured that we successfully completed the deal in a difficult economic environment. I am pleased that the Williams McKinley brand will have an ongoing legacy as part of the E-Resourcing group and that the team will prosper in an enlarged business.”

Marcus Archer, partner at Clearwater, said:“Williams McKinley is an excellent brand in the SAP recruitment and consultancy market and is renowned for its integrity and client service. The sale to E-Resourcing enables a good exit for the founding shareholders and enables the company to continue to grow its impressive client base by benefiting from additional resources within the E-Resourcing group.”

“The acquisition will enable Williams McKinley and E-Resourcing to join forces and benefit from synergies and shared values that should see the enlarged group have an increasing impact in the field of IT, telecoms and SAP staffing markets.”
